We play our first home Saturday fixture since the end of October when leaders Montrose visit Forthbank in a big game this weekend, kick-off 3.00pm.
Team news: Midfielder Andy Black is again suspended and striker Andy Little remains a long-term absentee. On-loan St Johnstone full-back Cammy Thomson is sidelined with a hamstring injury but Steven Noble is in line to return to the squad after a number of weeks out.
Previous meetings: Callumn Morrison scored twice when we won 3-1 at Links Park in September but the Gable Endies won at Forthbank by the same margin in the IRN-BRU Cup. Their last League 2 visit to Forthbank was in February and we lost 2-1 despite going ahead through Blair Henderson’s penalty – a result that dropped us to second bottom in the table.
Opponents: Montrose have enjoyed an outstanding 2017 under the management of Stewart Petrie and are six points clear of Peterhead at the top of Ladbrokes League 2. We are a point further back in third spot but have a game in hand on the Angus club, who have spent the last two decades in the bottom tier. Montrose are unbeaten in nine league games since losing to Elgin in September and have one of the best defensive records in the country.
