Stirling Albion head for Galabank on Saturday to play Annan Athletic on the artificial surface in our penultimate away fixture of 2018.
It’s a big game for Dave Mackay’s men as we aim to bounce back from recent 1-0 defeats to Berwick and Peterhead against an Annan side unbeaten in their last six outings.
Team news: Midfielder Andy Black begins a two-game ban after being sent off in our last match against Peterhead. Striker Andy Little remains out and left-back Steven Noble is also still sidelined.
Previous meetings: A Callumn Morrison double helped us win 3-2 at Forthbank in September. Our last visit to Galabank was at the end of January when we lost 4-1 to doubles from Smart Osadolor and Max Wright despite going ahead through Blair Henderson early on. We were beaten 3-2 there in August of last year while both trips in 2015/16 ended in draws.
Opponents: Annan have lost just one of their last nine games in League 2 – 1-0 away to Peterhead – and beat Elgin City 2-0 in their most recent home game a fortnight ago. Blair Henderson hit a hat-trick last week as Peter Murphy’s men saw off Stenhousemuir 3-1 at Ochilview to move to within a point of the play-offs.
