There’s a big game on Tuesday night as we welcome Peterhead to Forthbank, kick-off 7.45pm, looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Berwick.
Both sides know that a win in a fixture postponed from November 25 due to snow will take them above Montrose and to the top of the Ladbrokes League 2 table.
Team news: Striker Andy Little, left-back Steven Noble and midfielder Willie Robertson are again ruled out. On-loan Hearts winger Callumn Morrison picked up a knock at Berwick but managed to continue and is fit to face Peterhead.
Previous meetings: An outstanding first-half performance saw Dave Mackay’s men triumph 4-2 at Balmoor in August as we bounced back from the loss of an early goal to score four times before the break. The last meeting at Forthbank was in March 2015 – Rory McAllister gave the visitors the lead but Lewis Coult quickly equalised and Andy Stirling scored a late winner.
Opponents: Peterhead beat Edinburgh City 3-0 at Balmoor on Saturday as Rory McAllister scored twice to take his tally for the season to 20 goals. Jim McInally’s men have won five of their six away fixtures, the exception being a 3-1 reverse at Stenhousemuir in August. They are the only League 2 side through to round four of the Scottish Cup after recently beating Raith Rovers 3-0 to set up a home tie against Dumbarton.
