Stirling Albion manager Dave Mackay was unhappy with the performance despite Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Annan Athletic at Forthbank.
A Callumn Morrison double and a Darren Smith goal moved us five points clear at the top of the table but the visitors caused us plenty of problems.
He said: “It was a poor performance – we were lethargic and lacking the energy that makes us a good team but a win’s a win I suppose.
“There are only so many times you are going to get away with conceding two goals and winning games so we need to work on that. There was a flatness about us but we again showed we are a threat going forward and we scored a couple of good goals.”
Annan player/manager Peter Murphy said: “I think a draw would have been a fair result and I believe their first goal was offside. I’m frustrated but I’m proud of my players – we should have got more out of the game; we just need to believe in ourselves a bit more.”
