Stirling Albion welcome Annan Athletic to Forthbank on Saturday, kick-off 3.00pm, for part one of a home double header with Elgin City our opponents next weekend.
We go into the game with a five-point lead over Montrose at the top of Ladbrokes League 2 and averaging three goals per match so far.
Team news: Striker Andy Little remains on the sidelines and midfielder Liam Caddis is doubtful after limping off with an ankle injury at Montrose last week.
Previous meetings: Darren Smith scored the only goal when we last played Annan at Forthbank in March and we also won 3-1 in December. We have won our last five home games against the Galabankies but lost 3-2 and 4-1 down there last season.
Opponents: Former Carlisle and Ayr defender Peter Murphy took over from Jim Chapman in the summer and has overseen a big change in personnel, with former Binos Blair Henderson and James Creaney among the new arrivals. Annan have won two of their three away games this season – 5-1 at Berwick and 1-0 at Elgin – and drew 1-1 at home to Stenhousemuir last week.
