It’s a top-of-the-table clash this Saturday as we travel to Links Park to face second-placed Montrose in Ladbrokes League 2, kick-off 3.00pm.
We are aiming for a third straight away win after Clyde ended our 100% league record with a 3-2 win at Forthbank last Saturday while Stewart Petrie’s men are still unbeaten.
Team news: Striker Andy Little has yet to feature this season and remains on the sidelines but midfielder Sean Dickson, who hasn’t played since the opening-day win at Stenhousemuir due to a hip injury, trained on Thursday night and could be added to the squad.
Previous meetings: We have a good recent record at Links Park and are unbeaten in the last seven visits since losing 3-2 in December 2012. We won 3-1 on our last trip in March thanks to goals from Darren Smith, Ross Kavanagh and Connor McLaren, now a Montrose player, on a day when Liam Caddis was sent off. Montrose knocked us out of the IRN-BRU Cup last month with a deserved 3-1 victory at Forthbank.
Opponents: Montrose are unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions after Chris Templeman scored a stoppage-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Peterhead last week. The Gable Endies have taken four points out of six at Links Park this season, drawing 1-1 with Stenhousemuir and beating Cowdenbeath 1-0. They have conceded just three goals in five League 2 games so far.
