We are aiming to make it three league wins on the trot on Saturday and bounce back from the midweek disappointment against Montrose in the IRN-BRU Cup.
Dave Mackay’s men are top of Ladbrokes League 2 on goal difference from Peterhead as we prepare to welcome Edinburgh City to Forthbank.
Team news: Andy Little and Sean Dickson remain out but Peter MacDonald is set to return to the squad after being rested in midweek. Winger Callumn Morrison is available after playing for the Hearts U20 side in the IRN-BRU Cup on Tuesday and striker Neil McLaughlin could make his debut after signing on a season-long loan from Partick Thistle.
Previous meetings: Gary Jardine’s men enjoyed the better of things in the four meetings between the teams last season, winning 2-0 and 1-0 at Meadowbank Stadium and drawing 1-1 at Forthbank. Our sole success was 1-0 in February when Ross Kavanagh got the only goal.
Opponents: Edinburgh City have signed a dozen new players over the summer, including former Binos David Verlaque and Moses Olanrewaju. Other new arrivals include Ashley Grimes (Southport), Gareth Rodger (Brechin City) and Craig Thomson (Kelty Hearts). They have lost their opening two league games to Montrose at Ainslie Park and Cowdenbeath at Central Park.
