Message from the Chairman
Since the departure of the Club Administrator, Neil Mackay, in May, I have covered the role in my capacity as Operations Director, whilst the Executive Board considered how best to move forward.
I am delighted to be able to confirm that the outcome is the creation of a full-time General Manager’s position that will combine the Administrator’s and Operation Director’s roles with a new, exciting, demanding and key function of business development for the Club in general and specifically in support of our Commercial and Community Engagement activities.
After six years of carrying out my responsibilities as Operations Director, I have decided that it is (way beyond!) time to “get my life back” and spend more time with my family, especially my three (soon to be four!) grandsons.
I will be staying on in my role as Chairman and, in addition to retaining a number of “working” responsibilities, I will assume direct line management responsibility for the General Manager, in addition to the line management already in place in respect of Andy Todd, Community Engagement Manager.
I’m utterly confident that the addition of the full-time position of General Manager will play a major part in our common quest to take Stirling Albion to the next level both on and off the pitch.
Stuart Brown, Chairman SAFC
