Stirling Albion head across the border on Saturday to take on Berwick Rangers at Shielfield as we aim to bounce back from last weekend’s 3-0 home defeat to Forfar. We are sixth in the Ladbrokes League 2 table, six points outside the top six with five matches to play.
Team news: Ross McGeachie and Sean Dickson return from suspension but Ross Smith again misses out, as do Willie Robertson and Jack McCue. Calvin Colquhoun and skipper Ross McMillan are back in training but Saturday’s game may come too soon.
Previous meetings: We lost 3-2 on our last visit to Shielfield on a Tuesday night in December, despite a double from Dylan Nguene Bikey, with Darren Petrie sent off at the end. It was 2-2 at Forthbank in February when goals in the closing minutes from trialist Aiden Malone and Sean Dickson. The first meeting this season was a 0-0 draw in October when Berwick had Kevin McKinlay sent off in the last minute. We have a poor recent record at Shielfield, with only one win in our last eight visits.
Opponents: Berwick are seventh in the table, six points below the Binos. John Coughlin’s side have been in generally good form since the end of January with four wins, three draws and three defeats in the last 10 games. Berwick lost their last home game 2-0 to Arbroath but then won 3-2 away to leaders Forfar and followed that up with a 2-2 draw at Elgin.
