Stirling Albion are aiming to make it seven victories on the trot after beating Clyde 3-2 at Broadwood last weekend when we welcome Ladbrokes League 2 leaders Forfar Athletic to Forthbank on Saturday.
Dave Mackay’s men are currently on the best winning run of any team in the SPFL and this is the club’s longest sequence of victories since the spring of 2007 when Allan Moore’s men won seven on the bounce before going on to claim promotion to Division One via the play-offs.
Team news: Ross McGeachie and Sean Dickson are both suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Midfield trio Willie Robertson, Jack McCue and Calvin Colquhoun remain on the injury list and defenders Ross Smith and Ross McMillan are also out.
Previous meetings: Forfar won 4-1 at Station Park in September and were 3-0 winners at Forthbank at the beginning of November. It finished 1-1 in the most recent encounter in January – Darren Smith got our goal and Angus Beith had a penalty saved by Grant Adam before David Cox equalised before half-time.
Opponents: Forfar’s lead over Arbroath at the top of the table has been cut to a single point after a run of seven matches without a win. However, four of those have been draws and the Loons have lost just once on their travels since the middle of October.
