Stirling Albion manager Dave Mackay praised his side for a much-improved second-half performance as we beat Montrose 3-1 at Links Park on Saturday.
Goals from Darren Smith, Ross Kavanagh and Connor McLaren earned us a fourth straight win despite right-back Liam Caddis being sent off after 74 minutes.
Mackay said: “I was pretty disappointed in the first-half performance. We obviously went in 1-0 up but I don’t think it was deserved as Montrose had a lot of pressure.
“We were second best to most things so I let them know at half-time that I wasn’t particularly pleased but they came out second half and were a lot better.
“I thought the red card was harsh. I have no complaints about the first booking and for the second one Liam certainly won the ball but the referee said he was out of control – I had to agree to disagree with him on that one!”
