Stirling Albion head for Gayfield on Saturday to play Arbroath in Ladbrokes League 2. We go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Berwick Rangers and are eighth in the table, just ahead of Edinburgh City and four points clear of bottom club Cowdenbeath, who have two games in hand.
Team news: Skipper Ross McMillan will miss out with the hamstring injury that forced him off last week while striker Ross Kavanagh and wingers Callumn Morrison and Josh Jeffries remain on the sidelines. Midfielder Calvin Colquhoun is available after serving a one-match ban.
Opponents: Arbroath are second in the table, nine points behind leaders Forfar after beating Montrose 3-1 at Links Park last weekend. Dick Campbell’s men have been outstanding on their travels of late but have lost their last two home games to Annan and Forfar. Their January signings included ex-Binos Bryan Hodge and Eddie Ferns as well as striker Donald McCallum (Dumbarton, loan) and keeper Cammy Gill (Dunfermline Athletic, loan).
Past meetings: It was 2-2 when the sides met at Forthbank in November. Goals from Steven Doris and Omar Kader had the visitors in command but a late double from Sean Dickson – the second a stunning stoppage-time volley – earned us a draw. Arbroath won an incredible game 5-3 at Gayfield at the end of August, helped by a Bobby Linn hat-trick.
