The sides will meet again at Broadwood on Tuesday January 31 for a place in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup after it finished all square at a misty Forthbank.
Dylan Nguene Bikey and Peter MacDonald both bagged doubles and Cammy Binnie saved a penalty as the teams drew for the third time this season.
This was only the second Scottish Cup meeting – Clyde won the first 2-1 in January 1982 and may feel they should have progressed after a much-improved performance to the one that saw them beaten 3-0 a fortnight ago.
Binos boss Dave Mackay had to do without Ross McMillan, Ross Smith, Ross McGeachie, Jack McCue, Moses Olanrewaju, Ross Kavanagh and Callumn Morrison due to injury and handed a debut to former Dundee right-back Andrew Black.
We didn’t start particularly well but went ahead in nine minutes when Bikey managed to create an opening and his angled shot went in off a defender.
Clyde responded positively and William Hill man of the match MacDonald found the corner with a clinical finish in 24 minutes although Albion felt there was a foul in the build-up.
The veteran forward lashed the ball home just after the hour mark to give Barry Ferguson’s men the lead and he missed a couple of chances to add to their advantage.
MacDonald then won a penalty in 76 minutes after being brought down by Binnie but the keeper made a terrific save from his powerful spot-kick, although it initially appeared the striker was about to be booked for diving.
Bikey, in what looks like being his last game, made it nine goals in nine matches when he slammed the ball past John Gibson with six minutes left after being picked out by Darren Smith.
Blair Henderson, who did well after coming on as a sub, almost won it in stoppage time after Bikey set him up but Gibson somehow diverted the ball over the bar.
