Stirling Albion manager Dave Mackay offered no excuses after the 2-0 defeat to Edinburgh City saw us drop to the foot of the table.
Ouzy See and Dougie Gair scored for the Lowland League champions as we suffered our second away defeat in the space of five days.
He said: “It was a shocking performance and Edinburgh thoroughly deserved their win. They worked harder than us and did all the things that we didn’t do.
“The league table doesn’t lie and things will need to change in the next month or so for the benefit of the club.
“Things don’t look good at the moment but there are a lot of games to play and several clubs are involved but we also have to realise we are in a relegation battle.
“I understand that the fans will be worried and I can assure them I will be doing everything I can to change it.”
Edinburgh City boss Gary Jardine said: “We asked the players to be competitive and be on the front foot and that’s what they did. Stirling had a fair bit of possession but I felt we had more of a goal threat.
“It was a great win. We have gone from losing narrowly, to drawing games, to winning 1-0 so to finally get a 2-0 win is a pleasing result. It was disappointing to lose to East Fife in midweek but this is a big boost.”
