It finished all square at Broadwood as we completed October unbeaten in four matches.
Marc McKenzie’s superb volley was cancelled out before half-time by a terrific header from Peter MacDonald and a draw was probably about right overall.
Caretaker boss Martyn Corrigan had to do without injured quartet Ross Forsyth, Ross McGeachie, Ross Smith and Darren Smith. Jack McCue came in at right-back and midfielder Angus Beith, on loan from Hearts, went straight into the starting XI. Isaac Layne replaced Blair Henderson.
Clyde went into the game on the back of a 2-0 win at Brora in the Scottish Cup while we had defeated Linlithgow Rose 3-0 at Prestonfield.
Albion went ahead after just nine minutes. Eddie Ferns did well on the left and his cross was met by McKenzie – keeper John Gibson got a hand to his volley but couldn’t prevent the ex-Elgin man from netting his sixth goal of the season.
Clyde hit back in 29 minutes when MacDonald – who had earlier forced a good save from Chris Smith – steered a header into the corner after being picked out by Phil Johnston.
Smith prevented Barry Ferguson’s men from going in front early in the second half when he made a superb save to claw away a deflected effort from Sean Higgins before Isaac Layne fired just over at the other end after making space in the box.
MacDonald hooked the ball narrowly wide from a long throw from Scott Linton and Clyde sub David Gormley was denied by the offside flag after beating Smith, as it finished 1-1 between the teams for the second time this season.
