The new Texas Scramble format proved a ‘hit’ with all of the teams participating in the 2016 SAFC Charity Golf Day at Stirling Golf Club on Thursday.
Perfect weather and a fabulous golf course resulted in great scoring, with the Forth Valley Police Team winning with a fantastic score of 55.7. Congratulations to all of the winners and to local member Hugh Lawson who had a hole in one at the 14th hole.
A total of 38 local businesses and organisations gave their support to the tournament, which raised a terrific £6,000 for the club, with a donation also being made to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thanks are due to all of the sponsors, volunteer helpers, and Stirling Golf Club. Thanks also to John Hunter and Hunters Executive Coaches as the main sponsor.
