We can confirm that manager Stuart McLaren and assistant manager Martyn Corrigan have been offered, and accepted, new deals for next season.
The news was announced by Stirling Albion chairman Stuart Brown at tonight’s Q & A session with supporters in the Castle Suite at Forthbank.
Stuart Brown said: “The Club Executive made the decision to extend Stuart McLaren and Martyn Corrigan’s contracts at a Board Meeting on Tuesday 5 April but I was keen to ensure that before going public we followed the correct protocol and met with the Trust Board. The earliest suitable opportunity to do that was on Monday of this week.
“I also wanted to provide supporters the opportunity to hear first hand the reasons behind the decision and the medium for this was provided by last night’s Meet the Chairman / Manager Q & A. My extreme gratitude to those who attended and for their searching questions, not just about the extension of the management contracts but also on a wide range of other SAFC matters.
“I appreciate that many supporters would have been unable to attend last night, due to geography and/or other commitments and, as ever, I am more than happy to be contacted personally to answer your questions.
“In the first instance, please e-mail the club on firstname.lastname@example.org and I will either respond to your questions by return or, if you wish to discuss, provide your name, a contact number and a suitable time and I’ll get in touch. If you wish you can also phone the club (01786 450399). I can’t guarantee to be there but leave your details and I’ll get back to you.
“Finally, lest there be any doubt, no one associated with Stirling Albion is content with the outcome of this year’s SPFL2 campaign but please be rest assured those same people will continue to act in the best interests of the club and will work tirelessly to achieve success both on and off the pitch.”
