We play our penultimate home game of the season on Saturday when we welcome Elgin City to Forthbank.
Our play-off hopes were all but ended by last week’s 1-1 draw at Hampden but our visitors are very much in the promotion mix despite a four-game winless run.
Team news: Central defender Scot Buist is the only absentee due to injury but midfielders Willie Robertson and Mark Lamont left the club earlier this week.
Previous meetings: Elgin have beaten us three times at Borough Briggs this season – twice in the league and once in the Petrofac Training Cup – including a 2-1 win last month when Brian Cameron converted an injury-time penalty. We won 3-1 at Forthbank in December when Mark Lamont, Steven Doris all scored in the second half after Craig Gunn’s penalty had given Elgin a half-time lead.
Opponents: Elgin are third in the table after last week’s fiery 2-2 draw with Annan at Borough Briggs. Jim Weir’s men have the best home record in Ladbrokes League 2 but have suffered 10 defeats on their travels.
