Stirling Albion are four points outside the top four as we prepare to make the trip south to play Berwick Rangers at Shielfield on Saturday.
Our last away victory was at Montrose in December but we looked the more likely team to come out on top at Elgin in midweek until City won it with a stoppage-time penalty.
Team news: Scot Buist, Lewis McLear and Aurelien Mazel remain out. Craig Comrie and Kevin McKinlay returned to training on Thursday night, as did Ross Smith, but tomorrow’s game is likely to come too soon for all three. Albion striker Sandy Cunningham, on loan to Berwick, won’t play.
Opponents: Berwick are unbeaten in their last four matches and have suffered just two defeats in the past eight games. Tuesday’s 3-0 home win over Arbroath saw them climb to eighth in the table. John Coughlin’s side have a solid record at Shielfield, with six wins, four draws and four defeats.
Past meetings: Berwick won 3-1 at Forthbank in August and we responded with a 2-1 victory at Shielfield in November thanks to goals from David Verlaque and Steven Doris. We won 2-1 at Forthbank last month after Berwick had gone ahead through Blair Henderson. Ross Smith equalised and Sean Dickson scored the winner from the penalty spot after Jordan McGregor had been sent off.
