The second half of the Club Academy Scotland season will resume officially on Sunday January 31 when all four age-group teams will play against Morton, but already a busy programme has been arranged ahead of that date.
The Youth staff would like to thank all of the 63 young players who represent the club with great credit each week and who wear the Binos strip with pride.
The parents also contribute significantly, transporting players to three weekly training sessions and games on a Sunday all over the country. Thanks for your support and good luck for the second half of the season.
Training resumes for all four teams this Thursday, January 7, and on Friday an U16 team will play against a Scottish Youth FA select team on the Forthbank Astro, kick-off 7.15pm.
On Sunday January 17 all four teams will test themselves against Elite tier club Partick Thistle – the U13 and U14 teams playing at home (Forthbank Astro) while the U15s and U17s visit Thistle.
On January 24 the teams will again play Elite tier opposition when they meet Ayr United. Again the U13s and U14s will be at home on that Sunday while the U15s and U17s travel to Belmont Academy.
Finally, a word of thanks to the staff who deliver the development academy programme. The 17 individuals involved do a great job in delivering quality coaching, sports science, medical care and in general supporting the needs of the young players who might make it to first-team level.
