Stirling Albion this week helped launch Start-Up Stirling’s Feed a Family appeal.
Manager Stuart McLaren, Community Engagement Manager Andy Todd and members of both the first-team and U20 squads showed their support before the East Fife game on Tuesday.
The aim is to raise £5,000 through online donations to provide Christmas dinners and food over the festive period for families who attend local Food Banks.
Joanie Littlejohn, Project Development Worker at Start-Up Stirling, said: “We were delighted Stirling Albion players and staff helped launch our Christmas ‘Feed a Family’ appeal at the match on Tuesday.
“More than £1,000 has already been raised to help provide Christmas Dinner for everyone who attends the Food Banks this December so that no family will have to choose between heating or eating.
“We still have a way to go to reach our target and any donations would be gratefully received. Many thanks to all the team for being the first to get involved!”
