Binos captain Ross McMillan hopes Saturday’s 3-2 win over East Stirlingshire is the start of better things to come.
Montrose are our visitors this weekend and McMillan said: “It’s maybe the confidence boost we need because a few of the boys were here last season and it’s possible there was a wee hangover from that.
“Hopefully we can push on from here and climb the table. We didn’t expect to be in this position after five games but there is a long way to go.
“We lost two goals but the monkey is off our back and that’s the most important thing. We were unlucky at Elgin but the boys showed their fighting spirit to get the points.
“It was nice to get my first goal for the club but I should be getting more – I was close against Berwick but that’s me off the mark now.”
