Striker Steven Doris is to have a scan on his knee but will be available for selection in the meantime.
Binos boss Stuart McLaren said: “Steven reported some swelling of his knee following the training session last Thursday and was subsequently left out of the squad for the Elgin City match in the Petrofac Training Cup as a precaution.
“It must be stressed that this is totally unrelated to the hernia injury that kept him out for the second half of last season. Thanks to our medical staff, he has been able to see a specialist this week and will have his knee scanned as soon as possible.
“In the meantime, Steven will be available for selection but we will, however, have to manage his training and match loads. It’s a frustrating situation for a player who has worked extremely hard during the off-season and pre-season to regain his fitness and form following his hernia problem.
“Steven and all the staff will do everything we can to resolve the issue as quickly as possible so that he can return to training and playing to 100% of his capabilities.”
