We are delighted to announce that strikers Craig Beattie and Salim Kouider-Aissa have signed on at Forthbank for season 2015/16.
Craig is a Scotland internationalist, who can count Celtic, West Brom, Swansea, Hearts, St Johnstone and Dundee among his former clubs.
The 31-year-old was with Ayr United last season, and scored six goals in League 1, but left Somerset Park in May.
Salim, 19, has been with us since the start of pre-season training and featured as a trialist in the friendly matches, scoring the winner against Hearts in the Supporters Direct Cup. He has played for Stenhousemuir and Queen of the South and also had a spell on loan at Shotts in 2014/15.
Stirling Albion manager Stuart McLaren said: “I am very pleased we have been able to add both players to the squad. We have been seeking an experienced striker to provide competition for Steven Doris and Craig fits the bill perfectly.
“He has played at the highest level on both sides of the border and has seven Scotland caps to his name. He did well for Ayr last season and is clearly still a quality player.
“Salim has shown an excellent attitude since during his time with us and fully deserves his chance. We believe he is a player of real potential who will continue to improve.”
The arrival of Craig and Salim takes to eight the tally of new players brought in this summer – the others are Chris Smith (Stenhousemuir), Sean Dickson (East Fife), Ross McMillan (Stenhousemuir), Jon Paul McGovern (Ayr United), Mark Staunton (Irvine Meadow) and Ross Smith (Peterhead).
