Stirling Albion manager Stuart McLaren was pleased to end 2014/15 with a victory as late goals from Ross Forsyth and Andy Stirling secured a 3-2 success against Stenhousemuir at Forthbank on Saturday.
Gordon Smith cancelled out Colin McMenamin’s opener but substitute Craig Sutherland fired the Warriors back in front, only for skipper Forsyth and on-loan Stirling to net with spectacular strikes in the closing minutes.
McLaren said: “We scored three very good goals and it was nice to finish off with a win because the fans haven’t had much to cheer.
“We have already started with the rebuilding work for next season and hopefully we will be able to announce some new signings over the next week or so.”
Stenhousemuir boss Brown Ferguson said: “The performance changed from a really good start to a disappointing end – I don’t know how much the news of the Ayr game had got through to the players but the focus is now on East Fife in the play-offs.”
