Further to my website statement following incidents that took place at the Peterhead fixture earlier this month, I can advise that the investigation has been completed and I am satisfied that appropriate outcomes have been reached and communicated to the relevant parties.
I would like to express my thanks to the Supporters’ Club Officials and members for their co-operation and, in turn, they have asked me to pass on their sincere apologies to anyone who was affected by the inappropriate behaviour of a small number of their members.
The Club has reviewed its Supporters’ Code of Conduct and lessons have been learned and implemented, including with regard to match-day stewarding. The updated Supporters’ Code of Conduct will be available to view on the website in the near future.
Moving forward, I would again urge everyone attending Forthbank Stadium to respect their fellow attendees in both word and action, bearing uppermost in their minds that it is paramount that we maintain a family-friendly, safe and welcoming environment for fans of all ages. Please be assured that action will be taken against anyone found guilty of any behaviour that is not conducive to such an environment.
The Club Executive Board and the Supporters’ Club have made a joint donation to the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and I have made the offer of SAFC being of assistance in any other way that SAMH considers appropriate and helpful.
I now consider the matter to be closed but should anyone wish to discuss it further, please do not hesitate to contact me through the usual Club channels.
