Both managers felt a draw was a fair result after it ended 1-1 against Stranraer at Forthbank on Saturday.
Phil Johnston’s first goal of the season gave us the lead after 23 minutes but ex-Bino Steven Bell equalised before the break with his first goal of 2014/15.
Albion boss Stuart McLaren said: “The lads have put in a great effort and a draw was a fair result overall. We probably didn’t play as well as we did at Brechin in midweek but Stranraer are a very good side on a long unbeaten run.
“It would have been nice to take a lead into half-time because we have spoken about the importance of getting the first goal. It was doubly frustrating because I’m told we lost a similar goal against Stranraer the last time.
“Stenhousemuir beating Dunfermline wasn’t ideal but there’s a long way to go and the players have done all we have asked of them since we came to the club.”
Stranraer manager Stephen Aitken said: “It wasn’t our best day. It was a scrappy game and we didn’t do enough to win so we just need to take the point and move on.”
