We can confirm that applications for the post of first-team manager have now closed and the total number received is in the mid-30s.
Stirling Albion Chairman Stuart Brown said: “I am very conscious of the need not only to get the best candidate, but also that this is achieved through due process being applied and being seen to do so.
“To this end, I have arranged for a Sift Panel to meet on Sunday, their task being to consider every application and, based on the candidates’ evidence against the key criteria identified, put forward for interview the six to eight candidates they assess to be best “qualified” to be the next SAFC Manager.
“Subject to the availability of the successful candidates from the sift, it is planned that the Interviewing Panel will convene towards the end of next week.
“The Sift and Interviewing Panels will consist of a mix of members of SAFC’s Club Executive Board and highly-experienced coaching personnel from the Club. No-one (Exec Board or coaching) will be involved in both stages.”
