Stirling Albion boss Greig McDonald praised his side for showing the spirit to hit back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Forfar at Forthbank on Saturday.
Omar Kader and Gavin Swankie were on target before substitute Sandy Cunningham rescued a point with a double in the last 18 minutes.
McDonald said: “I didn’t think we were doing a lot wrong in the game but Forfar scored two good goals. The lads deserve great credit for dragging themselves back into it because you won’t play many better teams than Forfar in this division.
“We were due our supporters a reaction after the Brechin game and I’m delighted we got a point after being 2-0 down. Sandy did really well when he came on but the whole team showed great spirit.”
Forfar manager Dick Campbell said: “We looked in control of the game and were top of the league at one point but credit to Stirling for coming back.
“We didn’t play well enough to win – we’ve set ourselves a standard recently and were guilty of not applying ourselves properly.”
