Binos boss Greig McDonald praised his side for recovering from a poor first half to win an incredible match 5-4 against Stenhousemuir at Ochilview on Saturday.
The Warriors led 2-1 at the interval with goals from Bryan Hodge and Sean Dickson either side of a Craig Wedderburn equaliser but Gordon Smith (2), Sandy Cunningham and Darren Lee Smith all scored in a 15-minute spell during the second period, with Hodge and Martin Grehan replying for Stenny.
McDonald said: “We didn’t show up in the first half. There were a few words at the break and the guys came out on a mission in the second half.
“We know we have a threat in forward areas and it’s great to score five goals – Stenhousemuir were keeping a high line and we were able to exploit it.
“We had a shocker last week at home to Ayr, and no-one is hiding from that, but we have to be happy with four points out of six away from home.”
Stenhousemuir manager Scott Booth said: “Defensively we have been strong this season but 20 minutes of madness cost us and we made a lot of individual errors.
“We had a game plan and it worked in the first half – I can’t see us having another crazy spell like we did in the second half.”
