We are pleased to announce the signing of former Alloa left-back James Creaney for the 2014/15 season.
The 25-year-old becomes the seventh new recruit at Forthbank this summer, following the arrival last month of keeper Greg Paterson, defender Craig Wedderburn, midfielder Darren Lee Smith and the attacking trio of Lewis Coult, Steven Doris and Gordon Smith.
James played for us a trialist in the recent friendly against Hibernian and put pen to paper at training on Thursday night. He will be available for Saturday’s Petrofac Training Cup first-round tie against Elgin City at Borough Briggs.
He has previously played for Stranraer and had a spell in Ireland before moving to Dumbarton in 2010 then on to Alloa last summer.
Binos boss Greig McDonald said: “I’m delighted James has joined us for the season as he had a few options on the table. He brings pace, can play at both left-back and left midfield and is very experienced at this level.
“James has spent the last few years playing in the Championship with Alloa and Dumbarton and I’m sure he will be a good addition to the squad.”
