Stirling Albion 0 Hibs 2
Goals from Jordan Forster and Alex Harris saw Hibs come out on top in a Forthbank friendly on Sunday, watched by a crowd of 1,453.
It was the first meeting between the teams since the Easter Road side won 5-0 here seven years ago but it was a tighter affair this time round on a warm afternoon in Stirling.
Alan Stubbs fielded what looked like his strongest line-up available and Hibs were worthy winners but Greig McDonald’s men put in a good performance and there was plenty of encouragement, with the first competitive game of the season – at Elgin in the Petrofac Cup on Saturday – fast approaching.
Graham Weir missed out due to work commitments and Darren Smith (hamstring strain) and Ross McGeachie (foot injury) were also ruled out while David McClune was forced off in the first half after suffering a calf knock.
