Stirling Albion return to action for the first time since our memorable play-off victory at East Fife on May 18 when we take part in the Raydale Cup this weekend.
Greig McDonald’s side face Workington AFC at 3.30pm on Saturday and will play hosts Gretna 2008 or Annan Athletic on Sunday.
The Binos boss is likely to give most of the squad a run-out over the weekend, with new signings Greg Paterson, Darren Smith, Craig Wedderburn, Gordon Smith, Lewis Coult and Steven Doris all in line to feature.
Saturday’s opponents are now managed by former Gretna midfielder Gavin Skelton and are preparing for life in the Northern League Premier Division after finishing bottom of the Conference North last season.
We took part in the tournament 12 months ago, beating Gretna 3-1 in the semi-finals before losing 3-0 to Wrexham in the final.
Admission prices are £10 for an adult weekend ticket, £7 for an adult day ticket, £3 for an U16 weekend ticket and £2 for an U16 day ticket.
