Midfielder Darren Smith is still confident that Albion can clinch promotion to League 1 by defeating East Fife in Sunday’s all-ticket clash at Bayview.
Smith helped the Methil club avoid the drop by beating Peterhead a year ago and had a short spell at Arbroath before moving to Forthbank earlier this year.
The 33-year-old said: “We didn’t play well on Wednesday, and you have to give East Fife some of the credit for that, but we were probably the better team in the first half.
“We got ourselves in front and looked comfortable at that stage but in the end two set-pieces have done us.
“There’s no way we are thinking it’s over. We have goals in the team and we can play a lot better than we did the other night.
“We just need to win the game to take it to extra time so we will be going there confident we can do that.”
