The Stirling Albion FC Youth Development Department are holding their annual Race Night fundraiser on Friday 9 May at the Miners’ Welfare Club in Bannockburn.
It’s a 7pm for 7.30pm start and tickets, which are available on the night, cost £5, which includes a buffet. Our thanks go to James Smith for providing the venue.
Around 120 friends, players and family are expected for this social event, which also marks the end of the Youth fixtures programme. Plans are already well advanced for next season and the Race Night helps the Youth Development Department to purchase training and playing kit.
The event has already received support from local businesses, individuals and club players and supporters. All the horses have been sold but jockey seats are still available.
The club does not award individual prizes to players at the end of the season but everyone involved in the programme would like to say well done and thanks to the players and parents who have worked so hard throughout what has been a difficult but also very successful season.
The Youth Department are confident that it has in the pipeline a significant number of great young prospects for the future.
