Stirling Albion head for Coatbridge on Saturday for another vital game in our bid to clinch a play-off spot. We go to Cliftonhill in fourth place in League 2, three points behind Clyde and five in front of Berwick Rangers, with four matches to play.
Team news: Skipper Jamie Bishop is an injury doubt and fellow central defender Brian Allison is a long-term absentee.
Match facts: Only Peterhead have won more home games than Albion Rovers in League 2 this season but their disappointing away form means James Ward’s team are seven points outside the play-offs. We are aiming to make it three wins in a row for the first time in 2013/14 after back-to-back 2-1 wins over Annan and Berwick. Rovers go into the game after a 2-1 home win against East Stirlingshire, in which Ryan Donnelly netted after just 12 seconds.
Past meetings: We lost 2-1 at Cliftonhill on our last visit in December. Jamie Bishop’s second-half goal wasn’t enough and Graham Weir was sent off late on. We have a good overall recent record against Rovers and won both games at Forthbank this season: 2-1 in October and 2-0 in February. We took 10 points out of a possible 12 from this fixture in season 2011/12.
