Berwick Rangers are our visitors on Saturday for a game that is vital to both sides. We go into the match boosted by last week’s 2-1 win at Annan and are still fourth in the table. Berwick, who beat Albion Rovers 3-1 on Saturday, are just two points back in fifth spot and have a superior goal difference.
Team news: Defender Brian Allison remains a long-term absentee and U19 midfielder Blair Munn is still sidelined but otherwise Greig McDonald has a full squad to choose from. Kieran McAnespie parted company with the club by mutual consent on Thursday night because of work commitments.
Facts and figures: We have lost just once at home since September – to leaders Peterhead in February – but have drawn our last three games at Forthbank. Only Peterhead have a better home record than Berwick but the Borderers have won just three times on their travels. The Shielfield side have notched up more clean sheets than anyone else in League 2 this season, with 10 so far.
Recent meetings: We lost 4-0 at Shielfield in January in Colin Cameron’s first game as Berwick player/manager but we came out on top 3-1 at Forthbank in a midweek match in December. The first game between the teams this season ended 1-1. Last year’s fixtures saw us triumph 6-3 and 1-0 at Forthbank, with Berwick winning 4-1 and 1-0 at Shielfield.
