The final total for donations to the John Hartson Foundation from last night’s match against Elgin City came to a magnificent £2,368.
Stirling Albion Operations Director Stuart Brown said: “I am chuffed to bits with the amount raised and absolutely delighted with the attendance of 641.
“I would estimate the crowd was at least double what we might normally expect for a midweek rearranged fixture, especially given that it would have been difficult for many away supporters to make the trip.
“I would like to thank everyone behind the scenes who helped to make this venture an outstanding success. A huge thank you, also, to everyone who contributed to the amount raised – with a special mention to our Polish visitor for their one zloty!”
