Stirling Albion boss Greig McDonald hailed the fighting spirit of his players as we battled back from two goals down to win 3-2 against Elgin City at Borough Briggs on Saturday.
City led at the interval through goals from Sean Crighton and Dennis Wyness but Jordan White started the comeback with 13 minutes left, Kieran McAnespie headed the equaliser and White grabbed a dramatic 86th-minute winner after a mistake by keeper Ray Jellema.
McDonald said: “We were also 2-0 down here at half-time on our last visit in September and then capitulated to lose 4-0.
“That was mentioned at half-time and this was a real test for them to show people how they have changed. To come back and score three times was fantastic.”
Elgin manager Barry Wilson said: “It’s hard to take – a draw is the least we deserved but there was panic after the first goal went in.”
