This year’s Annual Dinner is again being held in the Golden Lion Hotel in the centre of Stirling on Friday 28th March and the kick-off with a bubbly reception is 7.00pm for 7.30pm. The reception will be followed by a four-course meal with wine on the table which is included in the price of the ticket.
The compere for the evening will be John Morgan, who is well-renowned not only as one of the most entertaining speakers on the after-dinner circuit but also as a speaker and performer on the Burns circuit and has chaired many Burns Suppers as far afield as London and Canada.
To provide the entertainment after the meal, one of the two excellent speakers will be Eric Davidson, who with his hilarious satire is without doubt one of the finest speakers for a mixed audience on the circuit. Eric first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2000 and recently contributed to making a success of the Scottish Football Association’s Volunteers Awards Dinner.
The other speaker is the well-known former Scottish internationalist and Rangers football legend Willie Henderson. He is one of Scotland’s most sought-after speakers for sportsmans dinners due to his experiences and amusing stories relating to his golden age.
The evening will include fundraising efforts by way of a prize draw, an auction and a raffle, all with many prizes on offer. The sponsor for the evening is the locally-based firm Dron & Dickson Ltd who operate in the oil industry and are rapidly expanding worldwide. The managing director of the firm is Colin Rowley who is a keen supporter of the Club from his boyhood days and will be attending the Dinner with his wife.
An outstanding night’s entertainment is expected and, as the demand for tickets is high, anyone wishing to obtain tickets should either contact 01786 450399 or email email@example.com.
