It’s destination Links Park on Saturday as Greig McDonald takes his side north to face Montrose. Last week’s 1-1 draw at home to Annan Athletic kept us in fourth spot in League 2, four places and five points above this weekend’s opponents. We have already beaten Montrose twice this season but our last away match ended in a 4-0 defeat to Berwick Rangers.
Team news: New signing Darren Smith from Arbroath is added to the squad and fellow midfielder Ross Forsyth returns after a one-match ban but defenders Chris Smith and Kieran McAnespie remain out injured.
Match facts: Montrose’s home record of three wins, three draws and five defeats is identical to our away record. Stuart Garden’s side have taken just two points out of a possible 15 at Links Park since beating Albion Rovers in November but they won 3-2 away to Elgin last weekend. Our only clean sheets on the road this season have both been against Queen’s Park.
Past meetings: We won 2-1 at Links Park on the opening day with goals from Dale Fulton and Mark Ferry and came out on top 3-1 at Forthbank in October. In 2012/13, we lost 3-2 and drew 2-2 at Links Park while it was a 3-1 win apiece in Stirling.
