Saturday’s game against Annan is the first of three home fixtures out of four for Greig McDonald’s team – with Peterhead and Albion Rovers due at Forthbank after next weekend’s trip to Montrose. We go into the game in fourth place, three points behind our visitors and one in front of Albion Rovers and East Stirling.
Team news: Central defender Mick O’Byrne is in line for his debut after signing from Airdrie until the end of the season but Chris Smith remains sidelined and Kieran McAnespie faces a number of weeks out after suffering a hamstring injury in the 4-0 defeat at Berwick last week. Ross Forsyth is suspended.
Facts and figures: We have the best home record in League 2, with six wins, one draw and two defeats but only Peterhead and Clyde have performed better on the road than Annan. Jim Chapman’s team lost 1-0 at home to Clyde last week but won their last away match 4-1 at Berwick.
Recent meetings: Annan were the last team to beat us at Forthbank, winning 2-0 in September. It was 4-4 at Galabank in November when we were denied victory by a last-minute penalty. We won three of the four meetings last season.
