New signing Craig Comrie enjoyed a fairytale debut when he scored with his first touch after coming on as a substitute as we beat East Stirlingshire 2-1 at Forthbank on Saturday.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who joined from Falkirk last week, netted the equaliser with 10 minutes left and fellow sub Mark Ferry scored a terrific winner in stoppage time.
Craig, who lives in Alva, said: “Debuts can go one of two ways – you can have a horror or a start like that, so hopefully it continues to go well.
“I was with Falkirk as a youngster then for two-and-a-half seasons full-time and it’s obviously sad to leave but I’m looking forward to a new challenge.
“I only played youth and U20 football with Falkirk so that was my first senior goal. I usually play in the centre of midfield but the gaffer put me on just behind the strikers.
“There is loads of ability in the squad and I’m sure we can be right up there challenging at the top, especially with the desire the lads showed to come from behind and score twice in the last 10 minutes.”
