Stirling Albion make the 100-mile journey south on Saturday to face Annan Athletic on the artificial surface at Galabank.
Both teams trail leaders East Stirlingshire by just one point with a third of the season now complete.
We go into the game having lost only one of our last eight league and cup matches, although our most recent away win in League 2 was at Hampden at the end of August. Jim Chapman’s Annan are the leading scorers in the division and came from behind to beat Berwick 3-2 at home last weekend.
Team news: Defender Chris Smith is again doubtful with the knee injury that kept him out of last week’s 3-0 win over Queen’s Park and Brian Allison is a long-term absentee after undergoing knee surgery in the summer. Annan are missing Kenny Arthur, Iain Chisholm, Peter Weatherson and Steven Logan.
Recent meetings: Goals from Ally Love and David Hopkirk gave Annan a deserved 2-0 win at Forthbank in September. We won both meetings at Forthbank last season and came out on top at Galabank in April thanks to Stephen Day’s early goal. Our first visit south ended in a 5-2 defeat and we finished the game with nine men.
Greig McDonald: “We didn’t turn up when we played Annan the last time but we have been on a good run and want to keep it going. We can still play better but we are in the mix at the top of the table and that is the most important thing.”
