Our U19s continued their fine start to the season with a 3-2 win over Dumbarton at Vale of Leven Academy on Sunday afternoon despite playing most of the second half with 10 men after Blair Munn was sent off for denying the Sons a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Chris Paton (penalty) and a Jordan Sinclair double, one of them also from the spot, earned Graeme Donald and David Binnie’s side all three points as they made it four wins and a draw from their five SPFL U19 matches.
The victory also means we are now level on points with leaders Celtic – held to a 1-1 draw by Ayr – who we face at Barrowfield next Sunday.
Meanwhile, it was a case of two wins and two defeats for our youth teams against Alloa this weekend. The U15s and U17s were successful but the U13s and U14s lost out to the Wasps.
