Stirling Albion are making friends in Africa thanks to a project run by SAFC Supporters Trust Board member Andrew Jenkin.
In 2011, Andrew started non-profit organisation Africa on the Ball. It is a community development project which aims to advance health, education and economy within deprived African communities by using football as a vehicle.
The team wearing the Stirling Albion strips are Kalingalinga on the Ball – the club is owned by the community and is currently top of Zambia’s fifth division.
Andrew said: “Stirling Albion very kindly donated the kit towards the project and it will be used as our away strip next season.
“The club, and Stuart Brown in particular, have always been incredibly supportive of our work in Zambia and we would all just like to say a massive thanks to him and Stirling Albion.
“We’re currently looking for help sponsoring our work in the 2014 campaign and are looking to sign up four local businesses to support our efforts in Kalingalinga.”
