Stirling Albion welcome Peterhead to Forthbank on Saturday for our first home game in League Two.
Rory McAllister settled the most recent encounter between the teams 1-0 in the Blue Toon’s favour in April but that was one of only two defeats we have suffered in our last 18 league games.
We go into the match on the back of a 2-1 win at Montrose while Peterhead drew 2-2 with Annan at Balmoor in their opening fixture.
Binos boss Greig McDonald said: “Jim’s team were unlucky to lose out in the final of the play-offs last season against East Fife and, having kept the majority of their squad, it’s no surprise that they are the bookies’ favourites to win League 2.
“They will be organised and hard to beat but we know we’re capable of causing them problems – like the four games last season I expect another close game.
“Last Saturday was the very definition of grinding out a result, something we did well in the second half of last season, and it’s something we’ll need to do consistently throughout this campaign.”
