Defender Jamie Bishop is looking forward to his first competitive game as Albion skipper when we take on Raith Rovers in the first round of the Ramsdens Cup at Stark’s Park on Saturday.
The 28-year-old former Arbroath and Forfar player said: “I have captained my previous teams in the absence of others but this is the first time I’ve been made club captain and I’m proud and honoured to have that position at a really great club.
“I think I’m a decent talker on the park but maybe that makes up for some of my other deficiencies! We’ve had a good pre-season and played well against Stenhousemuir last weekend. We’ve a good balance in the squad and have nothing to lose against Raith – we won’t go there with any fear.”
