Stenhousemuir on Saturday

SAFC Match Preview, News

We make the short journey to Ochilview on Saturday to face Martyn Corrigan’s Stenhousemuir in a friendly, with just a week to go until we kick off the season at Raith Rovers in the Ramsdens Cup.

The Warriors narrowly missed out on the promotion play-offs in Division Two last season and begin their campaign with a Ramsdens Cup tie at home to Arbroath next weekend.

We drew 2-2 when the teams met in a friendly at Ochilview 12 months ago, with goals from Scott Davidson and Gary Brass cancelled out by late counters from Kevin Kelbie and John Gemmell (penalty).

Binos boss Greig McDonald welcomes back skipper Jamie Bishop, who missed Thursday’s 6-1 win over Civil Service Strollers in Edinburgh, and winger Stephen Day is expected to shrug off a knock.

Those who are not involved tomorrow are likely to get a run-out on Tuesday night when we meet Dunipace Juniors in another friendly on the Forthbank Astro.

Kick-off is the usual 3pm. Admission prices are £5 for adults and £3 concessions.

Saturday’s referee is Colin Steven.
