Albion finished the U19 season on a high by beating Livingston 3-2 in a West Section League Cup tie on the Forthbank Astro this afternoon.
Stirling dominated early on and should have been ahead, having missed a number of good chances, before good build-up play saw Stephen Day open the scoring. Livingston levelled just before half-time from a free kick on the right.
The visitors started brighter in the second period and took the lead with a rising shot from the edge of the box. Stirling battled back and equalised through Day’s second of the afternoon. With Stirling now on top, we forced the winner after a great ball in was turned into the net by David Grant to seal a deserved victory.
Meanwhile, our U14 side enjoyed a good win over Partick in a high-scoring encounter while our U17s suffered a narrow defeat to their Thistle counterparts.
